Mayfair Breaks Ground on New Comal ISD Elementary School, Opening in 2025

Construction is progressing rapidly on Comal Independent School District’s newest elementary school, situated within the Mayfair community and scheduled to open in 2025. This state-of-the-art facility will serve Pre-K through 5th-grade students, offering a dynamic and enriching environment designed to foster academic excellence and holistic development.

Southstar and Mayfair are proud to partner with Comal ISD and Bartlett Cocke General Contractors on this significant addition to the community. The school, designed by LPA Design Studios, will feature classroom wings dedicated to each grade level, promoting a sense of community and enabling age-specific educational approaches. Innovative collaboration spaces will further support creative learning opportunities, preparing students for future academic and personal success.

The new elementary school will include outdoor learning and play areas, providing students with opportunities to engage with their natural surroundings, which research shows can enhance cognitive development and overall well-being. This integration of natural spaces into the educational environment reflects a commitment to nurturing curiosity and fostering a lifelong love of learning.
