Southstar Welcomes New Team Members

Southstar is excited to welcome Nataliya Laypa and James Tipton to the growing team.

Nataliya Laypa: Director of Accounting and Finance

With over a decade of financial experience in major cities, and expertise in real estate, retail, manufacturing, distribution, and technology industries; Nataliya Laypa is well-equipped to lead Southstar’s financial strategies for developments throughout Texas. Her desire to join Southstar stems from the company’s reputation for innovation and community building. 

“Having worked in a prior consulting capacity with Southstar team members, I was impressed by the company’s commitment to big ideas and pioneering of development projects,” said Laypa.

In her role, Nataliya will support Southstar in ensuring financial agility, planning resource allocation for development projects and providing stakeholders with essential financial information. Her priorities will include optimizing financial processes, building strong fiscal relationships and strategic tax planning.

Originally from Ukraine, Nataliya has lived and worked in Michigan, Illinois, Texas and Colorado. When not working on financial strategies for the team, she enjoys spending time outdoors with family.

James Tipton: Mayfair Development Manager

James Tipton, a Texas A&M graduate with over five years experience in property development and management, joins Southstar as the Development Manager for Mayfair in New Braunfels. His experience in a similar master-planned community in the area laid the groundwork for his continued passion for community growth. He was inspired to join Mayfair because of Southstar’s commitment to delivering a special product that positively impacts New Braunfels.

“I hope to continue cultivating a small-town feel within Mayfair that emphasizes the importance of parks and trails to the residents and community as a whole,” said Tipton. “I’m excited to see how the unique phases planned for Mayfair will integrate parks, commercial properties and residential spaces seamlessly.”

James will contribute to Mayfair’s positive impact on enhancing New Braunfels’ commercial real estate landscape, while also ensuring an abundance of diverse housing options for current and future residents in the area.
