Thad’s passion for delivering the unexpected is a catalyst for Southstar’s growth and strength in the marketplace. For over two decades, Thad has focused on turning complicated development scenarios into unique opportunities for value creation. And he has worked to build a smart, creative team able to maximize the potential of each project. Thad guides the Southstar vision and establishes its strategic goals. This includes overseeing the team that manages Southstar’s $500+ million portfolio of communities across Texas — a portfolio that represents over 10,000 housing units and 3+ million square feet of commercial space. A graduate of the University of Miami, he has worked on planned communities in four states across the Southeast. He now makes his home in Texas with wife Melissa and sons Coleman and Quinn. He is active both locally and nationally with Urban Land Institute and serves on the Real Estate Council of San Antonio and the South Texas Business Partnership. And although he practices his jump shot regularly, he has no plans to give up his day job.
